How to use our handy rubber guide

The handy rubber hardness scale guides from Martin’s Rubber can be used as a reference for the shore hardness of rubbers including silicone, Viton, nitrile and Neoprene. As this video demonstrates, the sections are manufactured in different colours. These segments represent a different shore hardness and give you a tactile feel for silicone material, as well as great ‘hands-on’ comparison. The guides are produced against the IRHD (International Rubber Hardness Degrees) hardness scale, which is generally just a few degrees different to the Shore A scale, depending on the particular grade of rubber. To find our more about rubber hardness, see our detailed blog on the subject. Contact us today on 023 8022 6330, or email [email protected] , for more details about the entire Martin’s Rubber range.
