HyperMILL wins a Gold Medal

Extreme 5 axis machining…..
We are impressed with the scope of HyperMILL having invested in this class leading 5 axis software last year for our toolmaking facilities, but even we were stunned with the “latticework ball” that recently won the Gold Medal at the internationally respected Mori Seiki “Cutting Dream Contest”. Programmed by Japanese firm INBA Engineer, the intricate detail of the ball needed a lot of know-how from the engineers at INBA, and, of course, the abilities of hyperMILL with simultaneous 5 axis moves and fully automated collision checking making sure that the tool, holder and clamps all avoid contact with the workpiece.
